4 Second Power Pitch

I just hung up on a 1:1 call with our boy Al Anderson and listen to what he's doing to raise private money. He booked a refundable flight out of West Palm Beach, FL and he's going to wear his RPM t-shirt with the 4 second power pitch and show up 3 hours early. Al has a pass to the Delta lounge where he'll "network" to raise money using his 4 second power pitch and then before the flight takes off he's going to cancel it, get a refund then drive home. Good work Al! This is very creative!
Fellow RPM'er Diana Delaney also had a great idea. She had a dentist appointment recently and since she already had a pre-existing relationship with her dentist, it didn't make sense for her to drop the 4 Second Power Pitch. Instead, when he asked her what she had been up to, she responded with "I just got done updating my Private Money Presentation which is awesome as we continue raising capital for our next real estate investment, how about you?" - I LOVE THIS!

Remember, the number 1 reason why more people aren’t investing in real estate is because they’re simply not educated on the process. It's OUR job to get out there and educate them. Once they understand the benefits to lending, how our process works and what's in it for them, most lenders who are in a position to invest will express an interest in lending before you have your next deal lined up.
When I worked for Dell and I was launching my real estate business, I chose never to talk about Dell again. Even if I risked getting fired. Anytime anyone asked me what I did for a living or if I was catching up with someone who I haven't seen in a while, I always responded with my 4 Second Power Pitch. That was a decision I made based upon what was/was not going on in my life at the time. You do what makes sense for you.
